Kafe Skin:
AI-Assisted Pop-Up Concept
Kafe Skin is a speculative beauty concept I originally developed during the pandemic, and more recently it has become a vehicle for exploring how AI can support my design process beyond image generation alone. I’ve been especially interested in experimenting with AI image tools like Nano Banana, alongside Figma Make, Figma’s AI-driven prompt-to-app tool for turning ideas and existing designs into functional prototypes, interactive UI, and web experiences.
Starting from an imagined skincare pop-up in SoHo, I used AI to help visualize a branded retail environment, expand that world into a microsite, and concept supporting campaign assets like email and paid ads. This project allowed me to test how AI can accelerate early-stage ideation, environmental concepting, and layout exploration while still keeping brand direction, typography, editing, pacing, and final refinement in my hands.
Using Figma Make also helped me think through UI and UX more dynamically, since it supports building and iterating on functional prototypes and web concepts through prompts, images, and existing Figma designs.
